You Searched For: Enzymatic Tests

Enzyme assays are used to measure the level of enzymatic activity in a sample and are vital for the study of enzyme kinetics and inhibition. Based on the level of enzyme inhibition, the assays identify different bacteria strains through easy-to-read indicators such as changes in color, turbidity, sedimentation, precipitation, and colorful formations. The presence or absence of enzyme activity is a taxonomic property of microorganisms and can be used for differentiation or identification.
