The SMART Digest IA Protein A Kits target purification of immunoglobulins due to the strong affinity for binding to the Fc portion of the molecule.

The need to identify low-level biomarkers is forcing the analytical community to deal with extremely high levels of analyte and sample complexity, which makes quantitation challenging.

As these proteins are often present at low levels in complex biological matrices, an immunoaffinity capture step is typically employed to purify the sample and increase sensitivity. In SMART Digest IA Kits, the immunocapture reagents and the temperature-activated, thermally stable trypsin are co-immobilized onto a resin.
