Microcentrifuge 5425 plus the 1.5/2 ml kit rotor is the optimal choice for spin-column-based nucleic acid purification kits containing multiple centrifugation steps with frequent vessel changes, as used in target antigen production, sequencing sample preparation and antibody humanization.

Short runs up to twelve minutes are whisper quiet at an average of just 45 dB(A). These short runs are sufficient for the centrifugation steps of most routinely-used DNA/RNA purification kits. During longer runs, the cooling fan works efficiently to dissipate heat for the remainder of the run.

The improved cooling system of the Centrifuge 5425 R ensures optimal separation results and reliable cooling at 4 °C, even at maximum rotor speed. With a short pre-cooling time of only 8 minutes (~21 to 4 °C), the centrifuge is ready for operation when you are.
