Immersion Oils

https://pr.vwr.com/stibo/smallweb/std.lang.all/44/12/22474412.jpg

Immersion oils are frequently used with immersion objectives, between the specimen and the microscope lens, to eliminate light deflection and other interferences. Immersion oil is usually clear and colorless, and it is safe to use with valuable optics equipment. It allows light to transmit through most of the UV-VIS spectrum.
