Protector XL floor-mounted laboratory hoods with horizontal-sliding sashes are suitable for general chemistry applications and have the dimensions required for over-sized equipment.
These hoods are constructed of durable, powder-coated steel with four tempered safety glass sashes and a corrosion- and chemical-resistant, fiberglass-reinforced composite panel liner that surpasses all national codes for flame spread. Features include removable access panels, 73.5" loading height and pre-wired LED lighting rated for 50000 hours.
Laboratory workers with applications requiring distillation racks, extraction apparatus or large drums and carboys benefit from the increased loading height these hoods provide.

These hoods can be ordered with 0 or 2 service fixtures, or 2 service fixtures and 2 GFCI Duplex receptacles. Electrical options of 100 to 115 volts, 50/60 Hz, 10 A or 208 to 230 volts, 50/60 Hz, 5 amps are offered. Hoods are shipped in multiple sections: top, bottom, and sashes.
