Browser Compatibility

VWR.com is optimized for Internet Explorer 9 or later. If you're having trouble viewing our website or using our shopping tools, you may need to upgrade your browser.

If you have Internet Explorer 8 or older, you will not receive the full experience on vwr.com and you may not be able to use all of our latest shopping tools. We recommend you upgrade to the latest version of Internet Explorer by following the link below, or use a different web browser such as Chrome, Firefox, or Safari. If you need immediate assistance, please call VWR Web Support.

Internet Explorer Compatibility View Issues

Internet Explorer's Compatibility View is a feature which affects how it displays web pages. When enabled, it tends to emulate Internet Explorer 7's behavior in displaying vwr.com. Since vwr.com does not support Internet Explorer 7, Compatibility View will cause vwr.com to appear broken.

To configure Internet Explorer to remove vwr.com from Compatibility View:

  1. Open the Tools menu (Alt+T) and select Compatibility View Settings.
  2. If vwr.com is listed under "Websites you've added to Compatibility View", select it and click the "Remove" button to remove it from the list. Make sure that "vwr.com.com" is not present in the Compatibility View page list. Then click "Close."
  3. With these new settings in place, refresh your vwr.com page.

Note that if your computer is administered by your organization, you may not be able to access Compatibility View Settings or perform some of these sites. In this event, please begin by contacting your system administrators or help staff for assistance.

It's also possible that you may have temporarily entered Compatibility View through the course of using Internet Explorer's developer tools. To correct this, press F12 and change the Browser Mode to indicate the current version of your browser.

E.g., Internet Explorer 9 users should see a Browser Mode of "IE9" and a Document Mode of "IE9 Standards".
